Bournemouth Ink is not a typical tattoo convention. It incorporates many areas of music and performance festivals including a whole host of visual performances through the weekend. See below for
last year's artists. We will be posting 2011's line up as soon as we can.
2010 Performers
The Amazing Ari: Aerialist
We are pleased to announce that The Amazing Ari is returning in 2010 for more performances through the convention. This time he will be performing over your heads in the main Tattoo Arena. This is a feature you will not want to miss.
Chris Keward: Magician
Chris is an international magician who has been wowing audiences in the UK and Europe for over 10 years. He is a member of the world famous Magic Circle in London, the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Associated Wizards of the South, The Wessex Magical Association and Equity, the Performers' Guild.
He is a close-up, sleight of hand mastermind who practices a contemporary style of magic which incorporates every day objects such as pens, elastic bands, keys, credit cards and bank notes. He also performs the old favourites using cards, coins and rope.
Chris will be walking around the convention talking to anyone in his path so if you see him... introduce yourself.
The Graffiti Kings: Live Graffiti Artists
The Graffiti Kings will be creating a live graffiti wall through the weekend at Bournemouth Ink. This will be a continual work of art, allowing you to see the progression of the massive boards created by the artists.
The Pariah Circus
Spawned from the rape of Angels. Born screaming in darkness. Crawling out of the grave and into your face. Pariah Circus are freakshow assassins and burlesque gimps. A dark and twisted mirror of society's appetites. We are the razor in the apple, the hypodermic in the playground. We exist to undermine the hypocrisy of suburban sexuality, challenge the conventions of mundane morality and celebrate the liberating beauty of fear and transgression. We are the dream you never had and the child you never wanted. The ass fucking philosophers of Albion and sweet sadistic carnival sluts. We are your future, we're here to touch you.
Monsters Of Schlock
They’ve been banned, burned, blistered, bloodied, bruised, concussed, fractured, hammered, hooked, pierced, padlocked, spit on, stapled, sliced, slapped, smashed, and scratched all in the name of... Comedy? Two of Canada’s most outrageous entertainers have joined forces to bring you a non-stop comedy roller coaster jam-packed with cartoonish levels of absurd violence. It’s like a depression era sideshow meets Jackass! The Monsters of Schlock combine amazing physical stunts and mind blowing feats with a twist – irreverent slapstick comedy! The result? A show that will have you both screaming and laughing at the same time! Comedy takes the front seat as these two comedians lampoon sideshow, magic, and the circus arts while performing some of the most amazing physical stunts ever seen! It’s a slapstick stunt show hearkening back to the early days of vaudeville, with as much influence from the 3 Stooges as from the traveling carnivals of yore. When Canada’s only two-man human demolition derby comes to YOUR town, will YOU be there?
